Food jams

No dispenser or hopper, so no kibble jams. ePawDen's warranty excludes blockages caused by food or debris.

Setting it up

  1. Charge the built-in battery with the included USB-C cable (5 V / 1 A); a full charge takes about 4-5 hours.
  2. Place it away from metal surfaces, power supplies, chargers and other electronics, which ePawDen says can stop chips pairing.
  3. Pair your pet's 15-digit ISO FDX-B (134.2 kHz) microchip by holding the chip near the front frame, or use the included RFID collar tag. 9- and 10-digit chips are not supported.
  4. Recognition only starts when something breaks the infrared beam in the frame. To test the tag, hold it in your fist and put your hand in the frame.

Cleaning

Wipe the smooth clear parts; the stainless steel bowls can go in the dishwasher (FAQ). Decorative pieces come off for deeper cleaning. Keep the electronic base dry. The warranty excludes water damage from soaking or rinsing the main unit.

Power and batteries

Built-in 2600 mAh rechargeable lithium battery, charged over USB-C (5 V / 1 A). A full charge takes about 4-5 hours and lasts roughly 3-6 months depending on how often the lid opens, the mode and battery age. Low-battery behaviour isn't described.

Wi-Fi and the app

None needed: ePawDen says no Wi-Fi or app is required for normal local opening.

Warranty

12 months from delivery, for purchases made on epawden.com (buyers elsewhere go to their seller). Confirmed faults get a replacement, not a repair. Claims go to support@epawden.com with the order number and photos or video. 30-day returns.
