In short
There are no accounts, no ads and no forms, and we never sell your data. Anything you buy happens on Amazon under Amazon's own privacy notice.
Who runs this site
The Best Automatic Cat Feeders is run by the operator of The Best Automatic Cat Feeders, the data controller for this site. Contact: hello@thebestautomaticcatfeeder.com.
What we collect and why
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4). In the UK, the EU and EEA, Switzerland and Quebec, nothing loads until you choose "Accept analytics". Elsewhere it runs unless you turn it off in Cookie settings, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. It records the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (country or city), your device and browser type, and which Amazon links you click (the product, the page and where on it). We use this to see which pages help people and to fix the ones that don't. Google says Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. Advertising features are switched off.
- Hosting data. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address, browser and the page you ask for to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short time.
- Emails you send us. Your address and message, used only to reply.
- Your store choice. If you pick an Amazon store, a cookie remembers it.
We don't collect names, addresses or payment details, and we don't build profiles for advertising.

The site's fonts and images are served from our own host or Amazon's image servers. We don't load Google Fonts, social media buttons or ad scripts.
Amazon and our affiliate links
When you click a link to Amazon you leave this site. Amazon may use cookies to credit the purchase to us, and Amazon's privacy notice applies there. Amazon sends us commission reports that don't include your name or address.
Legal bases (UK and EEA)
We use analytics only with your consent. Hosting, security and the strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working site. Replying to your email relies on our legitimate interest in answering you.
Who we share data with
Only the services that run the site for us: Google (analytics), Vercel (hosting) and our email provider. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of in that sense. You can still turn analytics off at any time.
International transfers
Google and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries. Where UK, EEA or Swiss data leaves those areas, it's protected by safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (with its UK and Swiss extensions) or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Emails: up to 12 months after the conversation ends, unless we need them longer to meet a legal obligation.
- Hosting logs: a short period set by Vercel.
Your rights
- UK and EEA: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your data protection authority (the ICO in the UK).
- California and other US states with privacy laws: you can ask what we hold, and ask us to correct or delete it. We don't sell or share personal information, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.
- Canada: you can ask to see and correct your information, and withdraw consent. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec the Commission d'accès à l'information.
To make a request, email hello@thebestautomaticcatfeeder.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We'll reply within one month, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
