PETLIBRO One RFID Pet Feeder: fixes, reset and setup
Lights, beeps and error messages
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Display shows 'OUTLET BLOCKED' | The food outlet is blocked (infrared sensor C detects blockages). | No separate steps for this message. PETLIBRO's jam guidance applies: use kibble 2-15 mm, then remove the tank and clean the rotor (see 'ROTOR STUCK'). |
| Display shows 'ADD FOOD' | Not enough food left in the tank. | Refill with dry food. The manual says to keep enough food in so the low-food alarm doesn't trigger and portions stay even. |
| Display shows 'ROTOR STUCK' | The motor/rotor is not turning normally. | Take out all batteries and unplug for 10 minutes, then power back up. Check kibble is 2-15 mm. Remove the tank and run a manual feed to see if the rotor turns. Empty the tank, twist the rotor cover anticlockwise to remove it, clean the rotor and cover, refit, then test-dispense. |
| Wi-Fi abnormal/offline icon on the LED display | The feeder's Wi-Fi connection is abnormal or offline. | Make sure it runs on the original adapter, unplug and replug, reset (unlocked state), move it into the same room as the router, or add it with the app's HOTSPOT option or another phone's hotspot if Bluetooth setup fails. |
| Bowl-lid 'abnormal closing' or 'abnormal opening' icon | The food bowl lid did not close or open normally. | No specific fix given. The manual notes the feeder won't work properly if the bowl-lid pivot lock is not locked. |
| Low battery icon | The backup D batteries are low. | Replace the 3 alkaline D batteries. PETLIBRO says batteries are only for power cuts. |
| 'Counting Sensor Error' or uneven dispensing (app) | Not explained by PETLIBRO. | Check the cord and adapter are secure, reset and reconnect to Wi-Fi if needed, and run a manual feed with the tank removed to check the rotor turns. |
| Frequent abnormal beeping or 'button is locked' voice prompt | Not explained. PETLIBRO points to power or interference problems. | Use the original cord and adapter, keep metal objects and electronics away (they can disturb the RFID signal), try another outlet, reset the feeder, and move it if the problem continues. |
| 'Status Unknown' in the app's feeding status | Not explained by PETLIBRO. | Check the cord and adapter (remove batteries and recheck), unplug for a few seconds and replug, try another adapter, then reset, reconnect Wi-Fi and set new schedules. |
Food jams
Dry food only (no canned, wet or moist food). Recommended kibble is 2-15 mm across, and PETLIBRO says larger pieces may get stuck at the outlet. To clear a stuck rotor, power-cycle for 10 minutes, then remove the tank and rotor cover, clean the rotor and test-dispense.
How to reset it
Unlock the buttons first (hold the Unlock button about 5 seconds), then press and hold Reset until the feeder sounds a reminder and the Wi-Fi indicator flashes. The help-centre articles say to keep holding until the voice prompts 'reset successfully' and 'ready for Wi-Fi connection'.
What a reset erases: Not spelled out. PETLIBRO says to reconnect Wi-Fi and set up new feeding schedules afterwards.
The product page FAQ says the Reset button is disabled when the feeder runs on batteries alone.
Setting it up
- Fit the food bowl lid and slide its pivot lock to the left (locked); PETLIBRO says the feeder won't work properly with it unlocked.
- Lay the RFID reader mat on a flat surface near the outlet and away from metal, then seat the stainless bowl and tray in the reader's groove.
- Optionally fit 3 alkaline D batteries (backup only), plug the USB lead into the base and press the body onto the reader until it clicks; fit both bowl shields and lock the food tank.
- Add dry kibble (2-15 mm), put the desiccant bag in the lid holder, close the lid and plug in the 5 V adapter.
- Install the PETLIBRO app (not 'PETLIBRO LITE'), add the device and follow the Wi-Fi steps.
- In the app tap ADD COLLAR, hold the collar tag close to the reader's recognition area and tap CONFIRM; sensor pairing and QR-code pairing are both offered, so switch methods if one fails.
Cleaning
Power off before cleaning. Only the stainless steel bowl is dishwasher-safe; the feeder itself must not go in a dishwasher. Wipe the base with a soft damp cloth and never wash or immerse parts with electronics. The RFID reader is not waterproof. The collar tag is splashproof but should not be submerged. Take the desiccant bag out before cleaning the lid and replace it every 14 days.
Power and batteries
5 V adapter (AC 100-240 V input) plus 3 alkaline D batteries as emergency backup (not included; the product page says no rechargeables). Manual: on batteries only RFID recognition, Wi-Fi and feeding stay on, and everything else is disabled. The product page FAQ instead says Wi-Fi and the Reset button are disabled on batteries while meals still run. PETLIBRO says not to run it on batteries alone and to remove them if unused for a long time.
Wi-Fi and the app
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth-assisted setup in the PETLIBRO app and a HOTSPOT fallback option. PETLIBRO doesn't say what happens to schedules if Wi-Fi drops while on mains power.
Warranty
24 months. PETLIBRO also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on purchases from its official sites. Support email: support@petlibro.com.
