PETLIBRO Granary Automatic Feeder (3 L): fixes, reset and setup
Lights, beeps and error messages
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 'E1' flashing on the screen | Food outlet blockage detected. | Clear the blockage at the food outlet and clean the anti-clog detector. |
| 'E00' with constant loud beeping | Not defined by PETLIBRO; its help article links it to water getting into the base or a power-supply fault. | If the base was rinsed or got wet, let it dry 2 days before plugging in. Then swap the adapter and cord, and test on batteries. |
| Battery icon red and flashing | Batteries are low. | Replace the 3 alkaline D batteries. |
| Buttons don't respond | Buttons are locked (auto-lock after 1 minute of standby). | Hold Unlock 3 seconds. |
| Display is off | Screen locked or no power. | Hold Unlock 3 seconds and check the adapter. If it stays dark on mains, contact support@petlibro.com. |
| Food won't come out | Damp or oversized food, a blocked chute, a dirty anti-clog detector, or a power problem. | Use dry 2-15 mm kibble. Remove the tank and tank base to check the chute, clean the anti-clog detector at the outlet, and check battery level, adapter connection and whether a power cut hit with no batteries fitted. |
| Dispenses too much | Not explained by PETLIBRO. | Keep food level with the rotor height and check the tank base is fitted the right way round (FAQ). |
| Portion sizes vary | Normal for the first few portions. | Should even out after about 6 feedings. |
| Clock keeps wrong time | Clock malfunction; strong electromagnetic interference (microwaves, induction hobs, high-voltage equipment, radio/TV towers) can affect it. | Hold + and - for 6 seconds until three beeps and all icons light, set the time again, compare it with your phone for a minute, then try a different adapter, cable and outlet if needed. |
Food jams
Dry food only, 2-15 mm; larger kibble may stick at the outlet. An anti-clog detector at the outlet triggers E1. To clear, empty the tank, twist the tank base anticlockwise to remove it, check the chute, and clean the outlet and detector.
How to reset it
Clear all settings: hold the Increase (+) and Decrease (-) buttons together for 6 seconds until three beeps sound and all screen icons light up.
What a reset erases: All settings (clock, meal times and portions); the manual calls it 'Clear All Settings'. PETLIBRO's FAQ uses the same 6-second +/- hold to fix a wrong clock.
Setting it up
- Twist the lid anticlockwise to remove it and lift the tank off by its side notches. Put the desiccant bag in the box under the lid, then refit the tank on the notches.
- Add dry kibble (2-15 mm) at least to the visible minimum level, turn the lid clockwise to lock it, and clip the bowl into the notches under the base.
- Plug the 5 V adapter into the USB port on the back; the display lights up. Optionally fit 3 alkaline D batteries underneath as emergency backup.
- Hold Unlock 3 seconds, press Setting, then use +/- and Setting to set the current time (12-hour, AM/PM changes automatically).
- Set each meal's time and portions (P-XX, max 50; up to 6 meals). The defaults are 6 AM, 12 PM, 6 PM, 12 AM, 1 AM, 1 AM with 0 portions.
- Optional: press Record once (beep), speak up to 10 seconds and press again (two beeps) to save a meal call. Hold Setting 3 seconds to lock when done.
Cleaning
Unplug first and empty the tank. Rinse the lid, food tank, tank base, steel bowl and bowl holder and air-dry them thoroughly. Wipe other parts with a dry cloth, and never immerse or rinse the base (FAQ: if it gets wet, let it dry 2 days before plugging in). Take out the desiccant before cleaning the lid and change it every 15 days. The manual doesn't mention a dishwasher.
Power and batteries
5 V DC adapter (AC 100-240 V input) plus 3 alkaline D batteries as emergency backup (not included; no rechargeables). The battery icon shows when batteries are fitted. PETLIBRO says not to run it on batteries alone and to remove them if unused for a while.
Wi-Fi and the app
None (buttons and LED screen).
