PETLIBRO Granary Smart Feeder (Wi-Fi, 5 L): fixes, reset and setup
Lights, beeps and error messages
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Red low-food light on | Food in the tank is low. | Refill the tank. |
| White lock light on | Buttons are locked. | Hold Unlock 5 seconds to unlock. |
| White Wi-Fi light flashing once a second | Network setup mode. | Add the feeder in the PETLIBRO app. |
| White Wi-Fi light flashing twice a second | Connecting to Wi-Fi. | The brand doesn't say |
| White Wi-Fi light flashing three times a second | Firmware update in progress. | Leave it powered; remove batteries before a firmware upgrade (FAQ). |
| Wi-Fi light off | Wi-Fi is switched off (also happens on battery-only power). | Reconnect mains power; re-add the feeder if needed. |
| Red warning light on | Low battery, food stuck, or a motor fault. | Replace the D batteries if low. Otherwise empty the tank, twist the tank base off and clear stuck kibble, including at the outlet, and use 2-15 mm dry kibble. |
| 'Rotor Stuck' alert (warning light on) | The rotor can't turn. | Empty the tank, remove the tank base and clean out stuck kibble, including the food outlet. |
| 'Counting Sensor Error' (app) | Usually a stuck or faulty rotor. | Factory reset and reconnect Wi-Fi. Use dry 2-15 mm kibble and clear the outlet. Check the silicone rotor isn't deformed and turns freely. With the tank off, dispense 3/12 cup from the app and gently push a small stick into the rotor area to check it turns or reverses. |
| Repeated beeping or 'button locked' voice | Not explained by PETLIBRO. | Reset and re-add the feeder, try another cord and adapter (or batteries as a test), and move it to an open spot away from electrical interference. |
Food jams
Dry food only, 2-15 mm kibble; larger pieces may stick at the outlet. The app shows a pop-up on a jam or blocked outlet. To clear, empty the tank, twist the tank base anticlockwise to lift it off and remove stuck kibble around the rotor and outlet. The first few portions may be uneven and should even out after about 6 feedings.
How to reset it
Unlock the buttons (hold Unlock 5 seconds until a reminder sound), then press and hold Reset until the feeder sounds a reminder and the Wi-Fi light flashes. If the buttons are disabled and the feeder is offline, hold Unlock 3 seconds until it beeps, then within 3 seconds hold Reset for 3 seconds without touching other buttons.
What a reset erases: Wi-Fi and app pairing: the feeder must be re-added to the app. The app's separate 'Remove device' setting deletes all data and settings except the voice recording.
Reset is disabled when the feeder runs on batteries only.
Setting it up
- Twist the lid anticlockwise to remove it, put the desiccant bag in the holder under the lid, then add dry kibble (2-15 mm) to the tank and refit the lid clockwise.
- Fit the stainless steel bowl and bowl tray.
- Plug the adapter and cable into a wall socket; the feeder switches on by itself. Fit 3 alkaline D batteries as backup only.
- Install the PETLIBRO app (not PETLIBRO Lite), turn on Bluetooth and location, tap '+' and pick the feeder (or choose it from the 'ADD MANUALLY' list). Keep it within about 6 m of the router.
- Set feeding schedules in the app (1 portion = 1/12 cup / 20 ml) and optionally record a meal-call voice message.
Cleaning
Power off first. Rinse the lid, tank, tank base, stainless bowl and bowl tray with tap water and air-dry. Only the stainless bowl is dishwasher-safe; the feeder itself is not. Wipe the base with a soft dry cloth, and never wash or immerse parts with electronics. Take out the desiccant before cleaning the lid and replace it every two weeks.
Power and batteries
Adapter (AC 100-240 V input) plus 3 alkaline D batteries as emergency backup (not included; no rechargeables). With both connected it draws only from the cable. On batteries alone, Wi-Fi, the Play (recording) button and Reset are disabled, and scheduled meals still run.
Wi-Fi and the app
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, set up over Bluetooth in the PETLIBRO app; keep it within about 6 m of the router. On battery-only power it runs schedules offline. PETLIBRO doesn't say whether schedules continue during a Wi-Fi outage on mains power.
Warranty
Manual says 12 months; the current product page says 24 months plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. Support email: support@petlibro.com.
