Vacqueen 6 L Wi-Fi Feeder for 3 Cats: fixes, reset and setup
Lights, beeps and error messages
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Red light solid | Food jam or limit-switch error; the motor isn't turning. | No clearing steps published. Check the outlet and kibble size, and restart the feeder. |
| Red light flashing slowly | Food blockage or food shortage. | Check and add food, then dismiss the app prompt. For an old alert, check actual dispensing, do one manual feed, or restart. |
| Yellow light flashing every 3 seconds | Backup batteries at 3.8 V or below (shuts down around 3.4 V). Shows even on mains if low batteries are fitted. | Replace the 3 AA batteries. |
| Green light solid / 3 quick flashes / off | Child lock on / panel locked (press ignored) / unlocked. Auto-locks after 1 minute idle. | Hold the right button 3 seconds to lock or unlock. |
| Blue light slow flash / fast flash / solid | Waiting for pairing / pairing or connecting / connected. | The brand doesn't say |
| Bowl shown red in the app | No bowl detected at that position, so dispensing skips it. | Seat the bowl. |
Food jams
Dry kibble up to 12 mm (smaller for irregular shapes); no wet or sticky food. The rotating outlet fills bowls in turn. Vacqueen publishes no jam-clearing steps beyond restarting, keeping kibble in size and cleaning regularly. A cleaning brush is included.
How to reset it
Hold the middle Reset/Wi-Fi button about 6 seconds; it beeps 'beep, beep-beep'. It works even with child lock on.
What a reset erases: Not stated. The feeder restarts and enters pairing mode, so it must be re-added in the app.
Setting it up
- Plug the cable into the bottom of the unit and optionally fit 3 AA batteries as backup (not included).
- Lift the base and line up the three bowls. Unlock the back of the host, fit the food container and lock it.
- Put a desiccant pack in the centre cover of the lid, fasten the lid, and add dry kibble up to 12 mm (smaller if irregularly shaped).
- Connect the USB cable to the 5 V 1 A adapter and power on.
- Install the Tuya Smart app, turn on phone 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, hold the feeder's Wi-Fi button until it sounds a tone, then tap Add Device, pick the feeder and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Create feeding plans in the app (0-20 portions per bowl; bowls fill left to right in sequence).
Cleaning
Bowls are removable 304 stainless steel; clean the active bowl regularly. A cleaning brush is included. No written cleaning procedure, dishwasher statement or desiccant schedule. Dry indoor use only.
Power and batteries
5 V 1 A adapter via USB plus 3 AA batteries as backup for power cuts (not included). Remove batteries if unused for a long time. The product page says to test the backup before relying on it.
