PETLIBRO Granary 2 Smart Feeder: fixes, reset and setup
Lights, beeps and error messages
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Light white steady | Network connected, operating normally. | The brand doesn't say |
| Light white 'breathing' | Waiting for network setup, setup in progress, or running on battery power. | Finish setup in the app, or restore mains power. |
| Light red steady | Low food, food jam or blockage, bowl base not connected properly, low battery, network setup failed, or feeder offline. | Check the app alert. Refill; clear jams (unplug, battery switch OFF, remove food and debris); reseat the main unit on the bowl base; recharge on mains; re-pair Wi-Fi. If the tank is empty but no red light shows, clean the sensor windows (FAQ). |
| App shows feeder offline | Lost Wi-Fi connection. | Saved schedules keep running locally while offline; remote control returns and records sync after reconnection (FAQ). |
Food jams
Dry kibble only. The spec says 2-15 mm; the FAQ allows about 2-18 mm but warns pieces longer than about 9 mm or thicker than about 6.5 mm may not dispense reliably. To clear a jam, unplug, set the battery switch to OFF, then remove food and debris. The tank comes apart into the hopper rotor and dispensing grid (twist the grid anticlockwise).
How to reset it
Press and hold the Reset button on the back for 3 seconds; for pairing problems the FAQ says to wait for the feeder to restart afterwards.
What a reset erases: Not stated by PETLIBRO.
The FAQ says changing Wi-Fi networks doesn't need a reset.
Setting it up
- Place it on a flat, hard floor near an outlet with good Wi-Fi; PETLIBRO says hard floor only.
- Open the side latches, lift the main unit off, fit the bowl holder and stainless bowl on the base, then refit the main unit and close both latches.
- Press the button on top of the tank to lift the lid, open the desiccant box and put one of the two desiccant bags in each slot.
- Connect the 5 V 2 A adapter and wait for the self-check, then turn on the battery power switch to enable the built-in backup battery.
- Install the PETLIBRO app and follow its steps to join Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
- Add dry kibble and set schedules in the app. The FAQ says to calibrate the bowl scale after reassembly.
Cleaning
Unplug and switch the battery off. Only the tank lid, food tank (with rotor and dispensing grid), bowl holder and stainless bowl are water-safe: wash them and air- or towel-dry. Wipe the main unit and bowl base with a damp cloth and dry them; never wash them with water. Refit the silicone cover and silicone hat correctly when reassembling. The FAQ says clean at least monthly, or sooner if there's powder, moisture or blockage. Replace both desiccant packs every 14 days. No dishwasher statement.
Power and batteries
5 V 2 A adapter plus a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, enabled by the battery power switch. Backup lasts about 24 hours (from the earlier spec check). The light 'breathes' white on battery. Power-saving mode starts after 20 minutes idle on plug power. Turn the battery switch off for storage and before cleaning.
Wi-Fi and the app
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi (PETLIBRO app). Saved schedules keep running if the feeder goes offline (FAQ).
Warranty
